How MeetWasla works
A community built around entrepreneurial interests, from launching an idea to growing a business. Meet real people, exchange perspectives, and decide privately who you'd like to stay connected with. No feed, no followers, no cold messages.
1. Get ready
- Create an account and complete your profile — it's what your conversation partner sees. Share your interests, what you're building, and what you'd like to talk about.
- Optionally add contact choices (a professional link and/or email). They're shared only after a mutual Connect.
2. Join the community conversation
- Choose Quick Meet for a spontaneous conversation, or pick a focused community room such as Startup Ideas & Product or Teams & Operations. Each room has its own matching queue: you only meet people in the same room.
- Community cards show how many members were recently active in that room, including people already in calls. Counts refresh every 15 seconds and disconnected members disappear after their presence expires. Online does not always mean available to match.
- Press Meet someone and allow camera and microphone access if your browser asks. Searching starts automatically. For audio-only, open Change and select Start with camera off.
- When a match is found you have 20 seconds to confirm you're ready.
- Matching depends on who's online and a shared language. Meeting a particular person isn't guaranteed.
3. Talk
- Calls have no time limit. Stay until either person ends the call.
- You can mute, turn your camera off or end the call at any time.
- On phones, keep the page in the foreground during the call.
4. Connect privately
- After the call choose Connect or Pass within 24 hours.
- If you both choose Connect, you'll find each other under Connections.
- Nobody is told that you passed. Decisions are final; use Disconnect or Block later if needed.
Troubleshooting
- No camera prompt on iPhone: the page must be opened over HTTPS with the local certificate trusted.
- No sound: tap “Enable call audio” if it appears; check the phone isn't in silent mode.
- “This is paused by the event operator”: an operator has paused matching. Wait a moment and try again.
- Nobody found: availability depends on who's online. Keep waiting or come back later.
